Open Romanian Special Needs Judo Tournament

INVITATION OPEN SPECIAL NEEDS JUDO TOURNAMENT – 2018 Cluj Napoca – ROMANIA

DOWN Bucharest Association as affiliate member of SNJU and partner of the Association AGA Down Sindrom Cluj Napoca announces the organization of the “Judo Adaptive Camp Adapted to People with Special Needs” in September 8-10, 2018, a project approved by the Cluj Napoca City Hall, the Local Council of Cluj-Napoca and the Direction of Social and Medical Assistance.

Within this project, on September 09, 2018, will be held the second edition of the competition “OPEN SPECIAL NEEDS JUDO TOURNAMENT – 2018 Cluj Napoca – ROMANIA” where over 50 judoka with special needs from Romania and other European countries will compete and will be awarded with diplomas and medals. The competition is structured on 5 levels of disability, according to SNJU regulations.

Entries can be made until August 10th. Athletes from the Netherlands, Great Britain, Sweden and Romania have been announced so far. As a result of the success of the first edition in Bucharest in 2017, it offers the first 100 people registered, free accommodation at Univers T Hotel and many other surprises.
This competition is organized with the support of Special Needs Judo Union, Special Needs Judo Foundation, Romanian Judo Federation, Babeş-Bolyai University, and DOWN Bucharest Association, which will share the experience of organizing the first edition of this competition (2017).
The “Judo Adaptive Camp for People with Special Needs” project is part of the events dedicated to the Romanian Centenary Celebration in Cluj-Napoca.
